It’s a lot of work, but you’ll only be able to sell something like this a couple of times in your life. Musicians achieve this sound with a tone knob, a properly selected capacitor, and a fretless J bass.

Yes, it is. I too think people who want contrabass will use contrabass. So I am currently struggling with this. I've been told by professionals that it's a good combination of a double bass and a fretless bass. Since what I was aiming for was a contrabass I am happy, but I also want to be more like a contrabass. However, I don't think it's enough just to produce a double bass sound. I also feel that I need to create an instrument that can produce my own original bass sound that is similar to the double bass. It is a painful and enjoyable task.

Excellent work. You've made a '76 Sunburst Stratocaster look like a brand new white finish guitar. The only problem is a '76 Stratocaster is worth thousands and a brand new one is worth about $400.

Heat-releasing the finish on the board is a new one on me. I guess that finish is why we no longer have blackened maple boards. Do you individually radius the new frets?

見た目と音のギャップが良いですね！独創的で素晴らしいです。 私も数年前ソリッドボディでウッドベースっぽい音を目指してベースの制作をしまして、その時目標にした音が ruclips.net/video/WhncEjUrBFw/видео.htmlsi=cXR0uG5DC9kEloOl ↑こちらのベースです。色々頑張りましたがこんな木っぽい音にはできませんでした。。
このベースも面白いですね。 ただ、やはり私の好みでない、ピエゾ臭い音かな・・・とも感じます。 それが駄目というわけではないのですが。（まぁプリンアンプの音なんですけど） いくら普通のエレキベースにピエゾとプリアンプ入れてウッドベースの音にしようとしても難しい。 いくら小さいコントラバスにピエゾとプリアンプを入れてウッドベースの音にしようとしても難しい。 何か新しい構造物を作ってそれをエレキベースサイズに落とし込む。これが今のところの見解というか、 僕の考え方です。 見た目はおまけなんです。 ボディ両端についているアルミと赤い木（パドゥーク）の形はどうにでもなるのです。 最悪無くても音が出ます。 このデザインはシルエットがエロくて、最低限エレキベースとして弾ける要素を詰め込んだ形です。 シルエットは本当にこだわってますが、機能的美しさを求めた感じで、デザインしています。 難しいですねｗ
@@Andybassguitar 情報少ないのですが調べたところ確かにプリ（というかデジタル回路のウッドベースシミュのようなもの？）をかましてるみたいでした。 やり方は色々あるのでしょうが、私も電気的な補正ではなく、構造的な工夫などでパッシブで完結するものに浪漫を感じるので、Andyさんの創作を非常に共感して見させていただいてます。これからも楽しみです！
